SPOT - personal tracker and message device

more questions

Postby gmt on Sun Aug 31, 2008 5:12 pm

I gather when I purchase SPOT I register a mobile phone number to receive messages. If that phone is overseas, say New Zealand, on a roaming plan, will the messages still be received ? I ask because calls to a roaming phone incure a cost to both sender & receiver.

If I purchase a NZ SIM card for use over there, can I change my mobile number to my NZ one to receive SPOT messages

If I opt for the optional (extra) tracking plan, can others access my track after 24 hours has passed ?

Thanks

Yes should be as your mobile phone (local) provider shoudl forward all messages to your phone. There may be a forwarding charge impossed by your provider.

Yes just access your spot web page from any web browser (internet cafe)

Yes, I think the lastest public page show 7 days, and your private (password accessed) pages show 30+ days.
