Sending SMS messages to Australian Phones

Postby gpsoz on Sat Jul 05, 2008 9:11 am

Sending SMS messages to Aus phones is not as easy as sending say SMS messages to USA phones. Suffice to say that it is only possible if you use an email to SMS gateway. We have being trialling SMSGLOBAL and it appears to work quite well. www.smsglobal.com.au

You need to register your mobile phone number with SMSGLOBAL, nominate an email address that your happy to accept emails from then enable it. You need to be in credit with SMSGLOBAL, first 25 SMS are free then 10c per message there after. No association with SMSGLOBAL but we're happy with their product and service.

No need to do the above - SPOT now supports Telstra, OPTUS and Vodafone in Australia directly.

SPOT Servers via internet to your phone providers webservers
Phone providers web server to your phone (SMS message) via Mobile phone network
