What's the go... GPSOZ / VMS

Postby Ned on Wed Oct 14, 2009 3:09 pm

Before I left for a 6 week trip there was talk of new updates to the software (maps) for the AVNC 3000..... ( I actually ordered one from you Brian, but you couldn't supply before we left, so let it go as it looked like being at least a month away and not on 16Gb card).

Any news, any answers, any questions.... It would be good to get an update now that there are so many road changes about.
Any fixes for the daylight savings problem etc etc or is this unit now a dead duck as they say. Hope there is still some support now there are new models out, thanks in advance.

Unit was really excellent on our central oz trip, using the Hema 4x4 map package mainly with a quick change back to street nav in Alice Springs for a street location. Quite a few people were impressed with the "in dash" look and operation.... it did some really rough roads & tracks over the 7000kms.. very happy.

Regards, Ned.

Brian,,,
Can you let me know what the Whereis version is ... V15 or V16 and as raised elsewhere on the forum, will there be
another upgrade soon to V16 if 15 is the current one, seeing that the new AVNC 7000 has the V16 on it. I don't want to
have to do another update (more costs) just after one.
Also can you let me know the costs... new/swap/etc on the 8/16Gb cards for the 3000 Mk II.

Regards, Ned.

PS.. Brian, could we have a permanent/separate/locked thread on UPDATES, so people can see exactly what the current status is on software/hardware updates without going back thru the general posts.... just a thought.
