Is it possible to load Route 66 onto your computer and use it to work out the route you wan't to take, then transfer it to the Hema (The same as can be done with Garmin MapSourse) Working on a larger screen is much easier

I find it very time consuming putting a route into the Hema if you wan't to go a differant way to what the Hema calculates. Its not to bad if you are in a built up area where you have a street name which you wan't to go via but on country roads where you only have a road intersection you have to use Lat/Lon which you have to find.

Hi Phil I think you will find if you open Route 66 there is a new version and an update for your Hema and also it looks like exactly what you are looking for on the PC , seems like if you create an account you can log in and have full use of the new mapping system, saving routes etc I have not used it yet as I find it easier to create routes or tracks using the 4x4 mapping in country areas. Where do you log in to create an account so that you can view the maps.
I have already updated to Q3 plus software on Hema.

Hi Phil, the way to access this feature is to open Route 66 on the PC, connect your HN to the PC and turn on Route 66 street nav, and wait till it connects to R66. Fill out the all the info to establish an account, follow prompts and you will be able to use the street maps to create routes. They will automatically be transferred to your HN into the History folder, there you can edit and save them to your favorites folder to be called on any time. Hope this helps Les

Hi, more to the point is it possible to REMOVE Route 66 from the Hema and install a better road and street navigation software running the whereis mapping (which is better then route 66) like the VMS ones run?

I would be interested if there is an answer to this as I find Route 66 lacking in a lot of pois, maybe there are freeby's that can be installed ? but must admit the bush tracks are very comprehensive after experimenting with it in Tasmania. Les
