VMS 500

The VMS Touring Series navigates just as well in the outback as it does around town! A portable on and off road navigator.

OK I brought a VMS unit , I am still muddling my way through it.

I thought there would be more detials with the maps supplied. It was lacking in IMHO.

However maybe I have got the settings right.

I am still trying to work out to make it tell me how to get to a camp site by voice or even loading a trip into it.

Cheers

Hi outback.

Only the street navigation is auto routing with turn by turn directions.

If you are using the off road section, you can drop a waypoing onto the camp site. Then do a GO TO that waypoint.

OK thanks, I thought it had the turn by turn directions DOH.

Also I dont seem to have the Cape York Map? I can load map 54, but it doesnt seem to have the detail that a Hema does?

I thought there was a map called Cape York that came with the unit?

Cheers

Cape york should be included in Zone54 map. the iTOPO map will have just as many tracks as the HEMA maps, however, there will be more POIs on the HEMA map. You can add the hema map on the Touring if you like.
