Screen protector

Postby Patto on Thu Jan 15, 2009 7:06 pm

Hi
I am looking for a screen protector for my Navigator (similar to the protective film supplied with the unit) does any body know if one is available and if so from where and the cost?

Cheers

Hi - screen is the same size as sonys PSP and also (obviously ) other 4.3 inch sceeen Nav devices such as the Mio series, so screen protectors for all these devices are interchangable. I purchased some 4.3 inch ones on eBay, and also picked up some runout PSP stock at a games store.

This discussion begs the question "will the HN screen deteriorate without a protector?"

So far so good. We have one of the oginals, guessing 18 months now, use it every day in the shop as a demo and has been on many 4WD trips.

..Which also begs the question why not spend $2 on a screen protector for a device worth  +$900

I was told that by fitting a protector it can upset some of the electronics due to static electricity, so I didn't fit one and I can tell you the screen will damage easily. Les

Never hear that one before - I run a screen protector on a variety of electronic devices with no probelm at all. Why is the HN different? Maybe because it isnt?
