but I think it is worth pursuing. When in remote areas, if I need to get an overall idea of where I am it is just hopeless. As you will be aware, zooming out just gives a blank screen - nothing displayed - and it is probably the most frustrating "feature" of your otherwise nifty software. I understand the issue with screen crowding, especially in urban areas. Perhaps 2 classes of display, depending on whereabouts one is? Tag urban areas with the current zoom type, and extra-urban areas with full detail at all zoom levels? Just a thought, I'm no expert.
